Eulalio Froila ran back to his position shaking his head. Fidel Kepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Rufo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Belmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Baldomiro Inautzi's late challenge caught a Saladillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Inautzi helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Los Zaparrastrozos got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Inautzi. If Everardo Belmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute of the match Carolo Rivas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fidel Kepa skillfully saved the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Los Zaparrastrozos's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Froila came free, but Fidel Kepa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Saladillo got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Ferrando. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Zeledon Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saladillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Rufo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidel Kepa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Belmiro made a kick off.
