In the 7th match minute, Holmberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Bazil to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Astor Che shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Cidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Holmberg got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Benvide. Astor Che fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Cidro having to interfere. In the 20th minute Leonel Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Cidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Munio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Rumaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the game, Ezequiel Izotz landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Clemente Rosario hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Elpidio Cidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Fernandez in the 28th minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Holmberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Benvide to maneuver through the defense. If Martin Bazil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ituzaingó AFC's zone, Israel Intxixu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Munio came out of the goal and Israel Intxixu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Martin Bazil fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Martin Bazil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Munio having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Astor Che stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Astor Che shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Cidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 57th minute when Leonel Fernandez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Elpidio Cidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Salvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Holmberg's zone, Mateo Salvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Cidro came out of the goal and Mateo Salvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Ituzaingó AFC's Mateo Salvino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Che in the 82nd minute of play forced Holmberg's goalkeeper Elpidio Cidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ituzaingó AFC's Victoriano Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bazil in the 85th minute of play. Holmberg's attentive Martin Bazil managed to snatch the ball when Ciriaco Cortez made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. 87 minutes into the game, Martin Bazil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Victoriano Munio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Israel Intxixu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Munio. Ituzaingó AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Israel Intxixu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Martin Bazil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Munio having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Holmberg's Martin Bazil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Munio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ituzaingó AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
