After a rather tough play, Ituzaingó AFC's Leonel Fernandez got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Astor Che managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ituzaingó AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Che was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Herrera's late challenge caught a Ituzaingó AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Herrera helped the player get up and apologised. Teodoro Herrera kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a little luck, Zeus's Ciriaco Azeari got control of the ball when Leonel Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ituzaingó AFC's Victoriano Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Cibran in the 15th minute of play. In the 20th minute Edgard Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edgard Cibran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ituzaingó AFC's Gilberto Belarmo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Victoriano Munio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Belarmo's late challenge caught a Zeus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 35th minute Edgard Cibran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Eutropio struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Victoriano Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zeus. After a defensive mix-up in Zeus's zone, Leonel Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Azeari came out of the goal and Leonel Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 42 played minutes Zeus got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Balesio. Edgard Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Munio having to interfere.

Leonel Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Azeari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciriaco Azeari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Che, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Astor Che's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Azeari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Zeus got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Ederono. The audience was convinced that Leonel Fernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Azeari was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Edgard Cibran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Victoriano Munio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Cibran's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Victoriano Munio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Che in the 88th minute of play forced Zeus's goalkeeper Ciriaco Azeari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Nicanor Eutropio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ituzaingó AFC's Victoriano Munio. Victoriano Munio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicanor Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Munio having to interfere. The Zeus supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zeus would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
