Platanos's Silverio Urdin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Artizar in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Damaso Joey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Platanos and the Los Cerrillos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes C. A. Platanos got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Joey. Ignacio Carlomagno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Odilon in the 15th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Los Cerrillos got a freekick which was hit by Celso Estevez. Silverio Urdin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Emeterio in the 20th minute. Silverio Urdin came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Los Cerrillos's Albano Artizar. But to his dismay, Albano Artizar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ignacio Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Karmel in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Karmel in the 34th minute of play forced Los Cerrillos's goalkeeper Ignacio Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Karmel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Karmel in the 40th minute of play forced Los Cerrillos's goalkeeper Ignacio Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Cerrillos's Albano Artizar got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Los Cerrillos's Ignacio Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Adrio in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Odilon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Albano Artizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Urdin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Albano Artizar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silverio Urdin was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Bernardo Odilon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignacio Carlomagno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Odilon's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Ignacio Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Odilon, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Jorge George hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Bernardo Odilon struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ignacio Carlomagno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Platanos. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Cerrillos's goalkeeper Ignacio Carlomagno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Los Cerrillos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernardo Odilon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernardo Odilon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Carlomagno having to interfere. Albano Artizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Urdin having to interfere. Silverio Urdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Emeterio in the 93rd minute of play. Los Cerrillos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
