After 37 minutes, Mauro Lonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soutomayor and the El Balé de Gareth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Soutomayor got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Lonzo. Christian Esquipula charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Esquipula the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ezequiel Sugar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Cefero having to interfere. Erubiel Cefero was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Christian Esquipula capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Esquipula really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ezequiel Sugar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soutomayor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Sugar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Cefero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erubiel Cefero came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Soutomayor's Christian Esquipula. But to his dismay, Christian Esquipula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Benjamin Dantae hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Basilio Rojelio came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the El Balé de Gareth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Rojelio couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes in the game, Conrado Quinton fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jose Caton having to interfere. The supporters of El Balé de Gareth booed when Soutomayor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Mogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basilio Rojelio's late challenge caught a Soutomayor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A collision led to El Balé de Gareth getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gustavo Corderun hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Venancio Mogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erubiel Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Sugar in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Christian Esquipula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erubiel Cefero was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Erubiel Cefero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Sugar went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Soutomayor were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of El Balé de Gareth for a fine match.
