Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernardo Odilon made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Rancheria S.A. booed when C. A. Platanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Henrico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Reynaldo Lidon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silverio Urdin skillfully saved the ball. Silverio Urdin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Gonza in the 15th minute of the match. Silverio Urdin came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Rancheria S.A.'s Osvaldo Mambru. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Mambru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Herminio Luar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Odilon in the 22nd minute of play. After 22 played minutes Rancheria S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Astigar. Herminio Luar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Odilon, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Osvaldo Mambru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rancheria S.A.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Mambru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Moises Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, C. A. Platanos's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Mambru came free, but Silverio Urdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Gonza scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silverio Urdin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Osvaldo Mambru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C. A. Platanos's Jorge George got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Platanos's goalkeeper Silverio Urdin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Rancheria S.A. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Moises Gonza made the kick off in the second half. If Osvaldo Mambru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Baldomero Elizardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Platanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rancheria S.A. the free kick. Marcelo Fidele hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Herminio Luar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Sendoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes C. A. Platanos got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Odilon. 86 minutes into the match, Prospero Karmel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Luar. Rancheria S.A.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prospero Karmel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Herminio Luar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Odilon in the 97th minute of the match.
