Nicanor Ihintza kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Isusko in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Caton saved Soutomayor from getting behind. Ezequiel Sugar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Halcon Rojo's goalkeeper Salvador Ricart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Sugar. Donato Isusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Halcon Rojo booed when Soutomayor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Mogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Caton came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Halcon Rojo's Juan Argina. But to his dismay, Juan Argina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marco Salvidor charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Salvidor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venancio Mogel missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 24 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Salvador Ricart right hand side. Jose Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Venancio Mogel fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soutomayor's protests and gave Venancio Mogel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Venancio Mogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soutomayor's Ezequiel Sugar got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salvador Ricart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Esquipula in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Halcon Rojo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Peter to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Juan Argina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Caton. Soutomayor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Argina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 48th minute Juan Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Ezequiel Sugar made the kick off in the second half. When Ezequiel Sugar came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Soutomayor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Sugar couldn't finish the play. Christian Esquipula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Esquipula in the 57th minute of play forced Halcon Rojo's goalkeeper Salvador Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Ezequiel Sugar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salvador Ricart skillfully saved the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Halcon Rojo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Laffitte to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Ezequiel Sugar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salvador Ricart showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Salvador Ricart didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Soutomayor's Christian Esquipula shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Soutomayor booed when Halcon Rojo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Ubelteso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Soutomayor's Ezequiel Sugar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salvador Ricart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Ezequiel Sugar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Ezequiel Sugar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soutomayor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Sugar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Soutomayor's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Otsoko came free, but Jose Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Ricart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Esquipula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ezequiel Sugar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soutomayor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Sugar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Ricart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Christian Esquipula came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Soutomayor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Esquipula couldn't finish the play. Halcon Rojo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Soutomayor had controlled the match.
