Ildefonso Iratxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hospital Italiano FC's Luisito Christobal got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Ahrenfeld's Hugo Maurino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Christian Luar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Maurino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Diego Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Hospital Italiano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Indalecio to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Hugo Maurino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Diego Mendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Leopoldo Soin fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hospital Italiano FC's protests and gave Leopoldo Soin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Leopoldo Soin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Ahrenfeld's Ildefonso Iratxo in action when he in the 28th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a defensive mix-up in Hospital Italiano FC's zone, Ildefonso Iratxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Mendez came out of the goal and Ildefonso Iratxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Vinicio Roderigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ahrenfeld getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rodolfo Salomone hit a great ball. Hugo Maurino's late challenge caught a Hospital Italiano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Maurino helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Christian Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Iztal in the 57th minute of the match. Christian Luar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Diego Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Christian Luar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ahrenfeld's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Luar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Mendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 played minutes Hospital Italiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Bermudo. In the 63rd minute, Hugo Maurino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaias Iztal struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Diego Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ahrenfeld. Hugo Maurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Iztal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Luar in the 68th minute of play forced Hospital Italiano FC's goalkeeper Diego Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Christobal in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Romeo Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Luar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Mendez having to interfere. Diego Mendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Maurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Ildefonso Iratxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Mendez having to interfere. Mauricio Sedeni struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Diego Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ahrenfeld. After having played for 96 minutes, Isaias Iztal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ahrenfeld's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaias Iztal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
