After a defensive mix-up in Quilmes A. C.'s zone, Erasmo Basajaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Valery came out of the goal and Erasmo Basajaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, River Gold's Edgardo Rafel got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 13th minute Felix Florian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Veto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Valery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Ponce in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Quilmes A. C.'s Laureano Valery got control of the ball when Erasmo Basajaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erasmo Basajaun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laureano Valery having to make a save. Edgardo Rafel might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laureano Valery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Rafel ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Erasmo Basajaun got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Erasmo Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Valery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Ponce in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Isaac Veto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Florian, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Erasmo Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, River Gold's Erasmo Basajaun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Valery narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Laureano Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Ponce in the 79th minute of play forced Quilmes A. C.'s goalkeeper Laureano Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laureano Valery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Roque Ponce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Laureano Valery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Ponce in the 86th minute of play forced Quilmes A. C.'s goalkeeper Laureano Valery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roque Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Quilmes A. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Basajaun came free, but Laureano Valery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roque Ponce ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Basajaun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Valery was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
