When Tiburcio Montez fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilmes A. C.'s protests and gave Tiburcio Montez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Quilmes A. After 29 played minutes Dragon Azzurro FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Rocendo. Joaquin Gonzo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The supporters of Quilmes A. C. booed when Dragon Azzurro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evelio Garci ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Florian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gonzo having to interfere. Siro Handi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gonzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play.
