Mauricio Tonete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Lore, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Mauricio Tonete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Lore in the 16th minute of play. Alejandro Dunixi charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Dunixi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SANGRE AZULGRANA booed when Newton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Dunixi didn't get a good kick on the ball. SANGRE AZULGRANA's Martin Burutzagi pulled a muscle in his back after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. SANGRE AZULGRANA made a substitution. Anibal Manex replaced Martin Burutzagi. The supporters of SANGRE AZULGRANA booed when Newton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Brion took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Tonete. Newton FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Mercurio in the 21st minute of play forced Newton FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Tonete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newton FC's Braulio Gerazan has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Eloy Cordeal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANGRE AZULGRANA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newton FC the free kick. Eloy Cordeal kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Pedro Troglio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Basilio Ayala came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Troglio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 35th minute. Newton FC's Mauricio Tonete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Manex in the 39th minute of play. Mauricio Tonete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Mercurio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Gil hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Mariano Brion sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Newton FC's Mauricio Tonete didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the Newton FC defense, Eustaquio Mercurio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Tonete. The Newton FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Tonete should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Urbano Guillelmus made the kick off in the second half. Amadeo Emeterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Tonete having to interfere. Basilio Ayala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Guillelmus's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When Pedro Troglio fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newton FC's protests and gave Pedro Troglio a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Newton FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Troglio. Newton FC's Mauricio Tonete proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Newton FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Urbano Guillelmus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basilio Ayala was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Chago couldn't finish the play. Mauricio Tonete was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcos Cresencio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 82 minute of play. Mauricio Tonete made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Marcos Cresencio sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Newton FC's Mauricio Tonete got control of the ball when Marcos Cresencio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute Silvano Lore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Tonete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Marcos Cresencio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mauricio Tonete. The goal made the score 1-6. When Ramiro Chago came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Newton FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Chago couldn't finish the play. Mauricio Tonete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Cresencio in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over SANGRE AZULGRANA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Newton FC throughout the match.
