Indios de oro's Teo Tano got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Indios de oro's Isidro Pio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Aznaro in the 34th minute of play. When Alfredo Manny came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Indios de oro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Manny couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Manny might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severiano Mincho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Manny ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Pio made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Teobaldo Umbruso sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teo Tano to make the kick off. Aureliano Aznaro took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Pio. El Porve's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobaldo Umbruso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
