When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of Infierno Rojo booed when Serenisimos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Harriet didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Florinio in the 59th minute of play forced Infierno Rojo's goalkeeper Alfredo Sotero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Harriet hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute of the match Infierno Rojo got a corner. Serenisimos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jacobo Solustiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Many of Infierno Rojo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Infierno Rojo may have spent more time on the ball, but Serenisimos FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
