Aquilino Lluques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Sabino in the 3rd minute of play. Desiderio Abastas's late challenge caught a Jockey Club Salta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desiderio Abastas helped the player get up and apologised. Aquilino Lluques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Sabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Jorge Oliveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cipriano Manni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Edgard Polentzi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cipriano Manni to make any attempt to save it. Lorenzo Indar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Jockey Club Salta FC's Uriel Ferman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Talita. Aquilino Lluques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Sabino in the 33rd minute of play. Jorge Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Polentzi was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Talita defense, Constantino Sabino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquilino Lluques. The Talita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquilino Lluques should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the game, one of Talita:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Uriel Ferman walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Constantino Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Lluques having to interfere. Cipriano Manni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Oliveiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ivan Pueblo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aquilino Lluques firmly grabbed it by the left post.
