Santos Florinio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Montrell having to interfere. When Lagunilla's Fausto Oliveiro in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Serenisimos FC's goalie prevented a goal.

After a defensive mix-up in Serenisimos FC's zone, Fausto Oliveiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Fero came out of the goal and Fausto Oliveiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Fero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Oliveiro's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Lagunilla's Fausto Oliveiro got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Enaut in the 64th minute of play forced Serenisimos FC's goalkeeper Patricio Fero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Fausto Oliveiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Fero was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Serenisimos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Otsando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lagunilla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Serenisimos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
