But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaias Cisco couldn't finish the play. Damaso Cayo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Faustino Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Instituto ACC's Everardo Dabi got a free kick in the 24th minute. Edelmiro Elequemedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Faustino Roldan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. Matias Jobo struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Edelmiro Elequemedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto ACC. Faustino Roldan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Edelmiro Elequemedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Jobo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Matias Jobo made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. San Lorenzo FC's Edelmiro Elequemedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Edelmiro Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Cisco in the 57th minute of play. Matias Jobo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62ndth minute of the game Matias Jobo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo FC's Edelmiro Elequemedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Matias Jobo made a precise shot to the right of Edelmiro Elequemedo. San Lorenzo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Matias Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Elequemedo having to interfere. Javier Aguilera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Jaume in the 74th minute. Faustino Roldan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Jobo in the 78th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo FC's Teodosio Jenaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Javier Aguilera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 85 played minutes San Lorenzo FC got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Tab. In the 86th minute of the match Teofilo Niguel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edelmiro Elequemedo skillfully saved the ball. In the 87th match minute, San Lorenzo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Gonsalve to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Cayo in the 90th minute of play forced Instituto ACC's goalkeeper Javier Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Faustino Roldan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Instituto ACC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 96 minutes into the game, Paulo Frechoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Instituto ACC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Lorenzo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Instituto ACC a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teofilo Niguel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of San Lorenzo FC's Edelmiro Elequemedo. 6-0. Instituto ACC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
