Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conrado Salbatore kicked off to start the match. 9 minutes into the game, Igor Donio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sanford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leones FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sanford's Igor Donio got a free kick in the 9th minute. Conrado Salbatore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Amancio Iratxo made a precise shot to the right of Luciano Steven. Leones FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Conrado Salbatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sanford booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Kimetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Conrado Salbatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Kimetz in the 27th minute of play forced Sanford's goalkeeper Gonzalo Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Cayetano Florian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes Leones FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ubaldo Lluques who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 37 minutes, Conrado Salbatore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Salbatore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Fraco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Steven having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Nesor made a kick off. Luciano Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Salbatore in the 53rd minute of play. If Ubaldo Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Ticho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Conrado Salbatore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 minutes of play, Leones FC's Isaac Idacio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonzalo Mel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gualterio Benvide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Gonzalo Mel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Salbatore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Salbatore came free, but Luciano Steven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Salbatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Steven having to interfere. Conrado Salbatore took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Steven. Luciano Steven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 89 minutes, Ubaldo Lluques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Lluques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Leones FC's goalkeeper Luciano Steven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maximino Kimetz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th match minute, Sanford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Sanford players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
