Gonzalo Mel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Conrado Salbatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Damian Avellaneda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Avellaneda was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Conrado Salbatore capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Conrado Salbatore really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. If Conrado Salbatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saverio Nisio made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Seven got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Nicholas. In the 53rd match minute, Seven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Jorrin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Seven's zone, Conrado Salbatore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Avellaneda came out of the goal and Conrado Salbatore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Erasto's late challenge caught a Sanford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Erasto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Seven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Erasto to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Guido Cisco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Seven's zone, Conrado Salbatore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 71 played minutes Seven got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Eguzki. After having played for 73 minutes, Orlando Fraco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Fraco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Seven's zone, Orlando Fraco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Avellaneda came out of the goal and Orlando Fraco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Avellaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Salbatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sanford were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Seven's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ubaldo Lluques took the corner. Ubaldo Lluques made a great header on Sanford's corner, it was just that Seven's Damian Avellaneda managed to reach the ball for a save. Damian Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Lluques, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seven's goalkeeper Damian Avellaneda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
