Patricio Goiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Elorri in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Felipe Gimenez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute of the match Gervasio Cresenciano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patricio Goiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Jeronimo Rainerio in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 23 minutes into the game, Felipe Gimenez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ORION's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.BOCA JRS the free kick. A collision led to ORION getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Felipe Gimenez hit a great ball. Patricio Goiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Elorri in the 31st minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulises Esiquio to strike the kick off in the second half. Octavio Hats was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Anibal Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Goiz having to interfere. If Aquilino Ciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
