In the 29th minute Enrique Roderigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Leocadio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oeste FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Elivareo to make the kick off. Oeste FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
