The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 16th match minute, Lescano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Felo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lescano's zone, Leon Gaztea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Kinsen came out of the goal and Leon Gaztea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Polentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Quebrachitos AFC's Rogelio Luzea got control of the ball when Evelio Mitxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evelio Mitxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Rogelio Luzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Chale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albano Kinsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Rogelio Luzea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Domeka, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Leon Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebrachitos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Gaztea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Kinsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inocencio Venerando charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Venerando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Lescano got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Venerando. 44 minutes into the match, Lescano's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Gaztea came free, but Albano Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Gaztea was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Lescano's Evelio Mitxel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogelio Luzea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albano Kinsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Chale in the 59th minute. The supporters of Lescano booed when Quebrachitos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Gaztea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Albano Kinsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Chale was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Lescano getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Inocencio Venerando hit a great ball. Albano Kinsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Gaztea, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lescano's zone, Anier Chale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Kinsen came out of the goal and Anier Chale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Lescano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quebrachitos AFC:s goal. Quebrachitos AFC's Pablo Duardo got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Quebrachitos AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
