After having played for 15 minutes, Atilano Iliana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. vilmapalma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Iliana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ladislao Gora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Roderigo in the 18th minute of play. Gabriel Batistuta's Ladislao Gora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Gabriel Batistuta from getting a goal against them. If Fausto Rubio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Fausto Rubio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gabriel Batistuta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Gabriel Batistuta getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Fausto Rubio hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Rubio to strike the kick off in the second half. Florencio Salbatore's late challenge caught a vilmapalma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florencio Salbatore helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gabriel Batistuta's Florencio Salbatore got a free kick in the 51st minute. Santiago Otoniel kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Gabriel Batistuta got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Otoniel. After a defensive mix-up in vilmapalma's zone, Romeo Lonzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Iraunkor came out of the goal and Romeo Lonzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Roderigo in the 64th minute of play forced Gabriel Batistuta's goalkeeper Ladislao Gora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ladislao Gora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Iliana in the 65th minute of play. vilmapalma's Atilano Iliana got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
