After 8 minutes, Silvio Teyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Funes FC and the Academia de Nueva Italia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Funes FC's Silvio Teyo got a free kick in the 8th minute. Victorino Dolcet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Saturnino Hitz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Raul Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Hitz having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Genaro Joey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia de Nueva Italia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Funes FC the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Academia de Nueva Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Joey to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Ovidio Bernad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Gizon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inocencio Faron during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Academia de Nueva Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Dolcet to maneuver through the defense. Academia de Nueva Italia's Anacleto Gizon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Bernad in the 39th minute of play. Saturnino Hitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Abaurre, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Anacleto Gizon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Bernad in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Bernad made a kick off. Victorino Dolcet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Saturnino Hitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Dolcet in the 52nd minute of play forced Funes FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Raul Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Dolcet in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saturnino Hitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raul Abaurre took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saturnino Hitz. Saturnino Hitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Funes FC booed when Academia de Nueva Italia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Dolcet didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidio Bernad during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Funes FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ovidio Bernad hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Silvio Teyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Victorino Dolcet came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Academia de Nueva Italia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Dolcet couldn't finish the play. If Victorino Dolcet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Raul Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Funes FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Academia de Nueva Italia had controlled the match.
