An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Duardo in the 38th minute of play forced Gabriel Batistuta's goalkeeper Ladislao Gora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Ismael Duardo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ladislao Gora, passed just outside the right post. Fausto Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Team Austral players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gabriel Batistuta.
