The referee ignored Pernambucano FC's protests and gave Lorenzo Piearres a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pernambucano FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Lorenzo Piearres hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gregorio Ilazki sped through Once Pitus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeledon Bermudez. Zeledon Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Chan in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Benjamin Palos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Once Pitus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Palos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Norberto Chan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pernambucano FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Once Pitus's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Chan came free, but Zeledon Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Once Pitus's goalkeeper Zeledon Bermudez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zeledon Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Chan in the 29th minute of the match. Once Pitus's Zeledon Bermudez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Chan in the 31st minute of play. With 32 minutes on the clock, Lorenzo Piearres commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 32nd minute, one of Pernambucano FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pernambucano FC. The goalkeeper, Severino Berasko, was totally fooled by Once Pitus's Godfredo Abastas, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 36th minute, Benito Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Favila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Bermudez having to interfere. The supporters of Pernambucano FC booed when Once Pitus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Chan in the 47th minute of play forced Once Pitus's goalkeeper Zeledon Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Gregorio Ilazki made the kick off in the second half. Silvestre Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Berasko having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Once Pitus got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Bibiano. Zeledon Bermudez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Ilazki in the 65th minute of the match. Zeledon Bermudez made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Norberto Chan sent off a good shot on target. Gregorio Ilazki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Zeledon Bermudez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Ilazki in the 69th minute of play forced Once Pitus's goalkeeper Zeledon Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pernambucano FC's Norberto Chan got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Ilazki in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Bermudez saved Once Pitus from getting behind. 76 minutes in the game, Gregorio Ilazki fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zeledon Bermudez having to interfere. Silvestre Amato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Chan got free with Zeledon Bermudez in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norberto Chans short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Zeledon Bermudez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Godfredo Abastas charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Abastas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th minute of the match Norberto Chan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Bermudez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
