Balacco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martínez the free kick. Cecilio Indar hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Aureliano Johans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aureliano Johans was the one to do the kick off. Celedonio Liberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Ubarna having to interfere. If Celedonio Liberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Martínez getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Hipolito Cordaro hit a great ball. Martínez's Lino Ubarna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Martínez from getting a goal against them. Victorio Su came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Martínez's Aureliano Johans. But to his dismay, Aureliano Johans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Mano in the 73rd minute of play forced Balacco FC's goalkeeper Victorio Su to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Leguizamón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Lino Ubarna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martínez's Lino Ubarna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Leguizamón in the 78th minute of play. Lisandro Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aureliano Johans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Martínez had played much better football throughout.
