The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Humberto Javiero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Su read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Monteagudo AFC's Federico Curcio got a free kick in the 11th minute. Celedonio Liberto struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Cirilo Refugio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balacco FC. Victorio Su made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Javiero in the 15th minute of play. When Humberto Javiero came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Monteagudo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Javiero couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Balacco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Gregory came free, but Victorio Su reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 played minutes, Monteagudo AFC's Basilio Pelayo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Su came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monteagudo AFC reached it. In the 28th minute, Arnulfo Elixio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Clodoveo Leguizamón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cirilo Refugio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Celedonio Liberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Carmelo Demesio fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monteagudo AFC's protests and gave Carmelo Demesio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Monteagudo AFC's Carmelo Demesio got a free kick in the 40th minute. Bruno Santiago's late challenge caught a Monteagudo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Santiago helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Balacco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Santiago to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clodoveo Leguizamón to strike the kick off in the second half. Monteagudo AFC's Cirilo Refugio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Indar in the 52nd minute of play. Celedonio Liberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Monteagudo AFC's Carmelo Demesio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Aristides Gregory got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 68 minutes, Serafino Alfonso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balacco FC and the Monteagudo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serafino Alfonso kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Balacco FC's Victorio Su got control of the ball when Aristides Gregory tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Liberto in the 75th minute of play forced Monteagudo AFC's goalkeeper Cirilo Refugio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Gregory received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Victorio Su tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balacco FC's Victorio Su proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Balacco FC from getting a goal against them. Celedonio Liberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cirilo Refugio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cirilo Refugio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Leguizamón, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Aristides Gregory's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Victorio Su firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aristides Gregory recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celedonio Liberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Cirilo Refugio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monteagudo AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
