Zeledon Romano came out of the goal and Genaro Mundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Lore took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Romano. Zeledon Romano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Genaro Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aurelio Lore scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Romano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zeledon Romano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Mundo went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the match, Venancio AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Lore came free, but Zeledon Romano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio AFC's Zeledon Romano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Lore in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roma's goalkeeper Ermegildo Azeari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Genaro Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Romano having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Venancio AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Haroldo Rameriz hit a great ball. Zeledon Romano was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Genaro Mundo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Genaro Mundo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Lore in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Romano saved Venancio AFC from getting behind. Zeledon Romano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Mundo in the 67th minute. Zeledon Romano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Lore in the 73rd minute of play. Genaro Mundo charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Mundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Genaro Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Genaro Mundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Genaro Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Romano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Lore in the 89th minute of the match. Evelio Sazon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Azeari having to interfere. The Roma players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
