Rodolfo Montel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Romeo Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jockey Club Villa Maria's zone, Camilo Jerrald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Arnau came out of the goal and Camilo Jerrald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeo Herena scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ubaldo Arnau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Rayuela FC's zone, Fidel Belo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Montel came out of the goal and Fidel Belo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Jonathan Demario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodolfo Montel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Llorian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Camilo Jerrald made the kick off in the second half. Gaston Ciceron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Ubaldo Arnau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vicente Cordaro kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Camilo Jerrald put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ubaldo Arnau. After 64 minutes, Camilo Jerrald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rayuela FC and the Jockey Club Villa Maria players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Rayuela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Jerrald to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Jockey Club Villa Maria's Ubaldo Arnau got control of the ball when Camilo Jerrald tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vicente Cordaro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Tomas Bastia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ubaldo Arnau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Jerrald in the 77th minute of play. If Tomas Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ricardo Vedillo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rayuela FC's protests and gave Ricardo Vedillo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rayuela FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ricardo Vedillo hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Nereo Luar in the 85th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rodolfo Montel's left hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Quin in the 86th minute of play forced Rayuela FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Montel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Camilo Jerrald's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubaldo Arnau was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nereo Luar during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Jockey Club Villa Maria defense, Camilo Jerrald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ubaldo Arnau. The Jockey Club Villa Maria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ubaldo Arnau should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Rayuela FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jockey Club Villa Maria.
