Miguel Socorro in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Marco Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Arnau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Socorro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 17th playminute. Humberto Enetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Llorian, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the game, Gaston Jaunzuria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jockey Club Villa Maria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tacural AFC the free kick. Gaston Jaunzuria kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Tacural AFC's Humberto Enetz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Llorian in the 28th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Amador Llorian made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Enetz. Tacural AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Aimar to strike the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Iban's late challenge caught a Jockey Club Villa Maria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Iban helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Gonzalo Iban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Enetz made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Jonathan Quin sent off a good shot on target. Humberto Enetz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Quin in the 57th minute. Jonathan Quin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amador Llorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jockey Club Villa Maria's Horacio Jaunzuria got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cesar Peio's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Ubaldo Arnau on his right side and into the goal. 74 minutes into the game it was 2-1. In the 78th minute Jorge Loiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Arnau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Arnau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute of the match Jockey Club Villa Maria got a corner. Tacural AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fidel Belo ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Jorge Loiola fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacural AFC's protests and gave Jorge Loiola a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Jorge Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jockey Club Villa Maria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tacural AFC.
