Honorio Ilazki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Theodore, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Rumios's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Genaro Theodore fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 15th minute Remigio Eliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Closers got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Mambru. Bernardo Oriche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Argi having to interfere. Rumios's Honorio Ilazki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Rumios from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee gave Closers a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cecilio Maore, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rumios's Honorio Ilazki. 1-1. If Genaro Theodore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Closers's goalkeeper Erubiel Argi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Oriche. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
