The supporters of Instituto Athletic Club booed when Navarro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Jacob didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Navarro AFC's Amancio Afonso got a free kick in the 8th minute. Navarro AFC's Aldo Dodorol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Bautista in the 10th minute of play. If Dionisio Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Cebo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braulio Lordi went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 16th minute, Maximiliano Lauaxeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute of the match Angelino Mincho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Cebo skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Instituto Athletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Jacindo came free, but Joel Cebo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Bastiaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Aldo Dodorol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Cebo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Jacindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Braulio Lordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Bautista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aldo Dodorol came out and tried to block the shot, but Leandro Bautista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leandro Bautista to strike the kick off in the second half. Navarro AFC's Dionisio Jacindo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Instituto Athletic Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Brais to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Instituto Athletic Club's Joel Cebo got control of the ball when Dionisio Jacindo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Navarro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Blasi to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Bastiaro struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. In the 79th match minute, Navarro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Osoro to maneuver through the defense. Romulo Blasco, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Instituto Athletic Club's Joel Cebo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Instituto Athletic Club from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Navarro AFC's Braulio Lordi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joel Cebo. That made the score 1-2 after 88 minutes of play. When Aldo Bastiaro came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Instituto Athletic Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Bastiaro couldn't finish the play. Fulgencio Sanson charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulgencio Sanson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, one of Navarro AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Navarro AFC. The referee gave Instituto Athletic Club a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romulo Blasco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Navarro AFC's Aldo Dodorol. 2-2. Braulio Lordi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 103rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
