Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 8 played minutes Los caseros got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Lano. In the 11th minute Luis Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Los caseros's Emilio Mazuste made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santos Intxixu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 17 minutes into the match, Yaretayo's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Mazuste came free, but Santos Intxixu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Ihazintu in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Intxixu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Ihazintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Intxixu having to interfere. Emilio Mazuste scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Intxixu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 played minutes Los caseros got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Loco. Elpidio Banegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Miliano's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Santos Intxixu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Ihazintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Emilio Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yaretayo's Silvestre Ciano got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Ihazintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Intxixu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Miliano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Luis Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Yaretayo's zone, Luis Ihazintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Intxixu came out of the goal and Luis Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Mazuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Silvestre Ciano hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Emilio Mazuste struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Santos Intxixu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los caseros. Elpidio Banegas came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Yaretayo's Silvestre Ciano. But to his dismay, Silvestre Ciano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaretayo's goalkeeper Santos Intxixu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Yaretayo booed when Los caseros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Musko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Ihazintus short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Santos Intxixu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Luis Ihazintu came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Los caseros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Ihazintu couldn't finish the play. After 84 minutes, Cesar Darien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yaretayo and the Los caseros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Cesar Darien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Santos Intxixu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los caseros. In the 88th minute, Luis Ihazintu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvestre Ciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Banegas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvestre Ciano ran back to his position shaking his head. Yaretayo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Emilio Mazuste scored to the left of an out of position Santos Intxixu, making the score, 1-3. Los caseros played a much better game than Yaretayo and deserved their victory. The Yaretayo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
