The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Floruțiu struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Marciano Jerardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viento FC. A collision led to Viento FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Adan Lluis hit a great ball. With his leg Marciano Jerardo managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Viento FC's Gică Floruțiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 28 minutes, Eleuterio Erasto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Erasto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Gică Floruțiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viento FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gică Floruțiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Jerardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Eleuterio Erasto made a precise shot to the right of Faustino Librado. Viento FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Marciano Jerardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gică Floruțiu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Abreu during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erasmo Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gică Floruțiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Marciano Jerardo made a huge save. Faustino Librado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Erasto, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eleuterio Erasto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Floruțiu in the 57th minute of play forced Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s goalkeeper Marciano Jerardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Domingo Maldonado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The coaching staff of Viento FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Erasmo Abreu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 62nd minute, one of Viento FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Viento FC. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.. Eleuterio Erasto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Faustino Librado. 0-2. Eleuterio Erasto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gică Floruțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marciano Jerardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Floruțiu in the 88th minute of the match. Domingo Maldonado hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Viento FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
