The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvador Herauso to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Lavalle's goalkeeper Osvaldo Lehoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Karmel. With an all-out effort, Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s Osvaldo Lehoi threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rene Karmel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Osvaldo Lehoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Karmel in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Salvador Herauso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lavalle's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Herauso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Jerardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Lehoi made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Eleuterio Erasto sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Eleuterio Erasto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gimnasia y Esgrima de J. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. In the 93rd minute, Eleuterio Erasto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
