He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cuervos FC reached it. Osvaldo Lehoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Mark, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Eustacio Gentza might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Lehoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eustacio Gentza ran back to his position shaking his head. Salvador Herauso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Gentza in the 26th minute of play forced Lavalle's goalkeeper Osvaldo Lehoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Cuervos FC's Froilan Mark got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Salvador Herauso came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Lavalle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Herauso couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Lavalle's zone, Eustacio Gentza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Lehoi came out of the goal and Eustacio Gentza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Lavalle getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Siro Tolino hit a great ball. Cuervos FC's Froilan Mark got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Eustacio Gentza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonel Umea's late challenge caught a Lavalle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Umea helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Cuervos FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Umea. The supporters of Lavalle booed when Cuervos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Txindoki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes Cuervos FC got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Semeno. Eustacio Gentza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Lehoi firmly grabbed it by the left post.
