Leandro Carlomagno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bruno Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Martxel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Carlomagno made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Eleuterio Erasto sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Erasto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Leandro Carlomagno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Martxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gimnasia y Esgrima de J.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
