Matará's Anacleto Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 苏青勇 in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matará's goalkeeper Anacleto Montez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Ceferino Hegoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GIMNASIA LA PLATA and the Matará players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ceferino Hegoi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 22nd play minutes 苏青勇 shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Anacleto Montez and just under the crossbar into goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Gudesteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, GIMNASIA LA PLATA's goalkeeper Ismael Jago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Napier. Benedicto Blanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matará's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 苏青勇 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, 苏青勇 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anacleto Montez was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. GIMNASIA LA PLATA's 苏青勇 got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Florencio Napier could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Ismael Jago however easily saved by the left post. 苏青勇 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GIMNASIA LA PLATA fully deserved thier win.
