In the 46thth minute of the game Jairo Leizarraga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Providencia's Jeremias de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Cleto Artaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Alejo Rivas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ricardo F.C's Generoso Indartsu got a free kick in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
