Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Anselmo Quintyn started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Pocitos FC's Anselmo Quintyn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Herauso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Oxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Casomiro in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Nisio in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Oxel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marcelo Nisio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Oxel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Nisio in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Dalmai got free with Manuel Herauso in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Casomiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gilberto Oxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Tadeo Rosalio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute Marcelo Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Oxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Marcelo Nisio made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Oxel. Pocitos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Nisio in the 43rd minute of play forced Pocitos FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Oxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Pocitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Rosalio. After the first half Mercedes FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelo Nisio to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ricardo Casomiro came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mercedes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Casomiro couldn't finish the play. If Marciano Dalmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcelo Nisio fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercedes FC's protests and gave Marcelo Nisio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Marcelo Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Oxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Casomiro in the 72nd minute. Manuel Herauso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Quintyn's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Ricardo Casomiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Casomiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Oxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Nisio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pocitos FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Oxel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 82 minutes on the clock, Bartolo Dalmu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pocitos FC! Edgardo Bladi placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ricardo Casomiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gilberto Oxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Marciano Dalmai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Manuel Herauso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilberto Oxel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edgardo Bladi. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
