The crowd rose to their feet as Pocitos FC's Anselmo Quintyn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teodosio Adrio. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Gaston Goren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Big Team's Teodosio Adrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save The Big Team from getting a goal against them. Gaston Goren struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gilberto Oxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Big Team. Marciano Dalmai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Teodosio Adrio made a huge save. Teodosio Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Quintyn in the 19th minute of play. If Marciano Dalmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mauricio Quinto fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Big Team's protests and gave Mauricio Quinto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Mauricio Quinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pocitos FC's Tadeo Rosalio got a free kick in the 28th minute. The supporters of Pocitos FC booed when The Big Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Quinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Gaston Goren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Oxel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in The Big Team's zone, Anselmo Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Adrio came out of the goal and Anselmo Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaston Goren to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Pocitos FC's Gilberto Oxel got control of the ball when Gaston Goren tried to sneak it across the goal line. When The Big Team's Gaston Goren in 52 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gilberto Oxel guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 55th match minute, The Big Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. The Big Team's Gaston Goren got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marciano Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cruz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gaston Goren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Gaston Goren managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Big Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Goren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Oxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauricio Quinto hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Gaston Goren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marciano Dalmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Teodosio Adrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Goren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Big Team's Severo Mikeldi got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Marciano Dalmai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocitos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Dalmai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Adrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
