When Albano Jaume came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Román FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Jaume couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Camilo Lander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillermo Hitzeder was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Albano Jaume blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Txurio having to make a save. In the 72nd minute of the match Erasmo Tavio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Hitzeder skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Román FC's zone, Camilo Lander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Hitzeder came out of the goal and Camilo Lander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Román FC defense, Camilo Lander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guillermo Hitzeder. The Román FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillermo Hitzeder should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute Albano Jaume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Txurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Txurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Jaume in the 91st minute of play. After 97 minutes Club Atlético River Plate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eusebio Bermund who took care of the corner kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
