Vicente Paez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Guillermo Hitzeder made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Teodoro Ireno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Isaac Newell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Román FC the free kick. The supporters of Román FC booed when Isaac Newell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Jaume struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Alvaro Erramun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Román FC. Mario Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes, Román FC's Eusebio Bermund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvaro Erramun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Román FC reached it. Alvaro Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Castulo in the 50th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Juan Duardo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alvaro Erramun was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eusebio Bermund. Isaac Newell's Alvaro Erramun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Isaac Newell from getting a goal against them. In the 60th match minute, Isaac Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Albano Jaume recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvaro Erramun was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Santiago Argi. Laureano Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Hitzeder having to interfere. If Albano Jaume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Vicente Paez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
