Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Haimar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Haimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Rodas having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Gorka came free, but Júlio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Bruno Evarado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Júlio de Senna made a huge save.
