Spectators: 7207 (Terracing: 5407, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jesus Haimar kicked off to start the match. Arnaldo Porfiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Deportivo Maverick's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 3 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Porfiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio de Senna. Arnaldo Porfiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rosario Central's Júlio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Barrionuevo in the 6th minute of play. Júlio de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Porfiro in the 7th minute. After 9 played minutes Rosario Central got a freekick which was hit by Jose Cristofor. In the 12th minute of the match Victorino Fernandez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Everardo Sagrario skillfully saved the ball. Inocencio Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Rosario Central's Júlio de Senna got control of the ball when Nereo Suero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosario Central's Júlio de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Barrionuevo in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Rosario Central's Jesus Haimar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Sagrario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Inocencio Lopez took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Sagrario. Everardo Sagrario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Arnulfo Sindo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Inocencio Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Jesus Haimar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesus Haimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 played minutes, Rosario Central's Victorino Fernandez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Everardo Sagrario came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rosario Central reached it. The Deportivo Maverick players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rosario Central were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Milian to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Maverick's Zeledon Nesor got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jesus Haimar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Everardo Sagrario skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Inocencio Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Porfiro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Maverick's zone, Inocencio Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Sagrario came out of the goal and Inocencio Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesus Haimar got free with Everardo Sagrario in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, Gualterio Barrionuevo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Maverick fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Gualterio Barrionuevo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio de Senna. Júlio de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Júlio de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Milian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Porfiro came free, but Júlio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Inocencio Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Sagrario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Haimar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Everardo Sagrario firmly grabbed it by the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Porfiro came free, but Júlio de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Inocencio Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rosario Central players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
