The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Diego Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Balesio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Argi having to interfere. Diego Nayely could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dario Argi made a huge save. Dario Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Balesio in the 40th minute of play. Diego Nayely could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dario Argi made a huge save. Romeo Balesio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario Argi having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Balesio made a kick off. After some careless play in the Gladiadores F.C defense, Diego Nayely kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Argi. The Gladiadores F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Argi should have stopped the shot. Dario Argi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Balesio in the 60th minute of play. Dario Argi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Nayely's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Romeo Balesio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dario Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Nayely charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Nayely the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Flavio Frutos struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Tomás Leheren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladiadores F.C.
