The Matthew F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaias Ilixo should have stopped the shot. Eleuterio Fanuco kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Jorge Beremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eduardo Eleder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew F.C.'s Isaias Ilixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Abreu in the 19th minute of play. Ernesto Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Isaias Ilixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Ilixo having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Emilio Neron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaias Ilixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Eleder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jujuy's Eduardo Eleder in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matthew F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jorge Beremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matthew F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Beremundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Valerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Marco Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Valerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Beremundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Goito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Valerio having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Jujuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Oier to maneuver through the defense. Jujuy's Santiago Valerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Goito in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Matthew F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Eduardo Eleder scored to the left of an out of position Isaias Ilixo, making the score, 0-2. After 57 played minutes Jujuy got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Tiso. When Aureliano Sol fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jujuy's protests and gave Aureliano Sol a yellow card for diving instead. Aureliano Sol hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Santiago Valerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Goito's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Marco Goito might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Valerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Goito ran back to his position shaking his head. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jujuy! In the 70th minute, Marco Goito made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Valerio. Jujuy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 74 minutes into the game, Jorge Beremundo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Santiago Valerio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jorge Beremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Valerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Goito, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Marco Goito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jorge Beremundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleuterio Fanuco hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Jujuy were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Matthew F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aquiles Chayo took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Honorato Rivero managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ernesto Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jujuy's zone, Marco Goito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Valerio came out of the goal and Marco Goito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jujuy's Ernesto Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aureliano Sol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Isaias Ilixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Matthew F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jujuy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
