Dante Oton's late challenge caught a Harp Blues FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Oton helped the player get up and apologised. 45 minutes into the match, Harp Blues FC's Virgilio Tabb broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 48 minutes, Florencio Firman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Los Tingueros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Firman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Firman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
