If Joel Videl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes AS Roma got a freekick which was hit by Guido Guifre. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelino Peru was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in AS Roma's zone, Gerardo Kimetz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Ibon came out of the goal and Gerardo Kimetz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, La Faustina's goalkeeper Angelo Selvi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Rudolfo. AS Roma's Fulgencio Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Kimetz in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, La Faustina's Gerardo Kimetz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Peru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Selvi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La Faustina had played much better football throughout.
