Eugenio Gamus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Rio Cuarto's Anastasio Maxin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Precioso. That made the score 2-1 after 20 minutes of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Eugenio Gamus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Rio Cuarto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Gamus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, ATICA FC's Lázaro Venceslao got a free kick in the 25th minute. Anastasio Maxin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Precioso having to interfere. Samuel Precioso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anastasio Maxin in the 30th minute. Anastasio Maxin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eugenio Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute, Anastasio Maxin made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Precioso. ATICA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Samuel Precioso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anastasio Maxin in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Anastasio Maxin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Rio Cuarto's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Maxin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Precioso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Gamus in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pastor Iratxo to strike the kick off in the second half. When Anastasio Maxin came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Atletico Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Maxin couldn't finish the play. Lázaro Venceslao kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Samuel Precioso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Maxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Eugenio Gamus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 65th minute, Anastasio Maxin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuel Precioso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugenio Gamus's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Osvaldo Aznaro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Alfonso Cordarryl was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 72 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the game, one of Atletico Rio Cuarto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, ATICA FC's Angel Reno got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Guido Txilar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Atletico Rio Cuarto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ATICA FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, ATICA FC's Angel Reno got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Guido Txilar.
